With his long effective range, Ziggs can be a relatively safe bottom laner if paired with a support that can protect him and help push in the lane, like Karma. Riot Gamesįirst, let’s go over why the heck this works in the first place.
But after changes to how towers take damage and a big buff in the mid-season mage update, Ziggs has made his presence known in the bottom lane and looks to blow up the bot lane meta as we know it.
Since that time, Riot has made a few efforts to shake up the stagnant marksman + support combination in the bottom lane, with efforts at melee “AD Carries” (looking at you, Gangplank and Mordekaiser) that never quite caught on. Europe’s teams entered the tournament with a new strategy, using the marksman + support bottom lane that would become the standard, dominating against North America’s double bruiser bottom lanes. At the Season 1 World Championship, we saw a referendum on exactly what the bottom lane meta would look like for years to come. Often times, teams would use two bruisers with crowd control, like Blitzcrank + Alistar. I want to make this clear, I am NOT announcing new features in the latest update, I'm just really confused. It’s not just Shiphtur - enough people have been playing Ziggs in the bottom lane that it shows up on OP.GG now with a 52.48 percent win rate, highest of any “AD Carry.”įor some context, a little background on the bottom lane meta in League of Legends: back in Season 1, no one knew what quite to do with it.
Bot of legends. update#
Now, I have literally zero evidence that they did update the A.I, and it is highly possible I was just oblivious all along. I had never seen a bot do anything of the like and seeing that third bot come out of the jungle and stun us, I was so shellshocked we nearly lost all the ground we had gained. Lastly, a friend and I, that i was introducing to the game, were holding top, 2v2. An ezreal bot attempted to attack me and my friend while we where slaying the dragon again, no one had lead him there, he walked through the jungle all on his lonesome. In fact, they where doing alot more in the jungle. the bot hadn't followed me in the jungle I had just spawn. A bot had waited in the bushes for me, stunned me, and tried to assassinate me. I put him down, but I was really getting messed up in the head right about now. Third, I was jungling, and a bot attempted to assassinate me. this time when I got in my magical circle, they poked me from the outside with skillshots and ranged attacks which if I had been playing pvp, I totally would've expected, but when it came to bots, I was used to them following a very rigid set of rules that I could exploit at my leisure. As soon as you entered that pretty circle encasing your tower, they stopped chasing you, or would stop attacking the turret if they where. Second, the turret range was always a safe zone in bots. they had never done this before so it really threw me off. The first thing I noticed is after being hit once, or sometimes straight from the get go, they dodged skillshots, specifically Jinx's w and ult.
First off, I was playing intermediate, and I started playing intermediate from level 1, so I have zero experience with beginner, and have nothing to say in regards to it. I got in game and noticed a couple things happening. So, after unlocking pvp and playing several rounds, I decided to go and play a couple bot rounds, which I do every now and then to test out new strats, builds, etc.
